Welcome to the KCRG-TV9 Digital Transition Blog

Our focus will be all things having to do with the transition from analog to digital television broadcasts in Eastern Iowa, as well as digital television and HDTV in general.

As you likely know, in early 2009, broadcast TV goes all digital and we want to make sure all of our viewers are prepared to continue receiving television on every TV they own.  With that in mind, we want to hear your digital television and transition related questions, your feedback about how the transition to digital is going for you and your general comments and success stories about receiving digital television at your location.

Unfortunately, there is still a lot of confusion among viewers.  What we will do here, if we can, is try to help you solve any reception problems* you may be having, and answer any general digital television related questions you may have as we work together to educate other eastern Iowa television viewers about the ins and outs of digital television before the mandated powering off of analog transmitters on February 17, 2009.

Get started by clicking any of the tabs across the top of this page for further information about the DTV Transition and Digital Television in general.  Then visit our  ”DTV Topics” on the right side of this page for further discussion.  Feel free to leave a comment or question by posting under one of the DTV Topics or e-mailing us directly at DTV@kcrg.com.

 * Please include your location and specific information about the equipment you are using when describing reception problems so we may better respond to your questions.
